“When I was a teenager, I suffered from depression, anxiety, and suicidal ideation. I spent time in four psychiatric facilities and ultimately spent one year at a residential treatment center 700 miles from home. Thankfully, I received the help I needed and now live a life of purpose, enjoyment, and fulfillment. I am grateful to be a part of the Charlie Health team, where we provide quality, accessible mental health care, helping families and children heal together.”
Fun Fact
I love eating local at all the great spots around Sacramento! I also enjoy the outdoors and exploring the hikes and nature we have here. Big Kings fan too, so you can find me at Golden 1 Center catching a game of hoops!
“We all know of a "Charlie" in our life that deserves access to equitable and evidence based treatment. When I was in high school one of my friends died by suicide. My father is an alcoholic who started drinking at age 12. The lives of both of my Charlies would look so much different had they had access to this life-saving care. It's my mission to help every current and future Charlie get connected to the love and care they deserve.”
Fun Fact
I love being outside and exploring what the East Bay has to offer. The next time you want to take a Sunday stroll, I recommend the Ruth Bancroft Garden in Walnut Creek, CA.
“When my father went to federal prison, the anxiety I had long suffered from became too much for me to handle on my own. I finally sought the mental health treatment I had needed for quite some time, and I'm so thankful for the care I received. My experience with the criminal legal system informed my passion for helping other system-impacted youth and all young people in need of support. I feel blessed to play a role in ensuring that all of our Charlies get the proper care at the right time.”
Fun Fact
I am NorCal, born and raised! If you ever want a local's take on the best spots to visit in the wine country, I'm your girl!
“My WHY is becoming a new mom this past year and wanting to help today's youth suffering from mental health conditions. Also, my childhood best friend suffered from depression, and she is here today because she entered a residential treatment program that gave her the care she needed. My goal is to help find a way to bring the same hope and respect to all struggling young adults.”
Fun Fact
I am a noodle enthusiast, and the best ramen place in San Diego is Yakyudori
“Growing up in the age of social media, I have had my own struggles with disordered eating and have experienced being put on waitlists to receive proper care. Accessibility is one of the biggest challenges facing mental health services today, and I am passionate about helping teens and young adults who are seeking help receive the quality care they deserve. ”
Fun Fact
Sacramento is coined "America's Farm-to-Fork Capital"! My favorite restaurants to check out are Kru Sushi, Masullo Pizza, Hawks Public House, and I cannot forget the incredible Midtown farmers market on Saturday mornings.
“I've experienced the challenges of navigating the behavioral health system both personally with my family and professionally as a social worker. Everyone deserves access to quality treatment personalized to their needs, and I'm committed to helping folks in my community connect to the support they need to feel loved, seen, and heard. ”
