“After struggling severely as a teen, I made it my lifelong mission over the last 20 years to walk alongside others on their journeys to getting help and changing their lives. I want others to feel like they are never alone and that getting connected to treatment is an option for everyone. I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to increase access across the country and work alongside some of the most dedicated, innovative, and compassionate people who are driven by their own personal missions to make a difference in this world.”
I am a proud dance mom and spend most weekends at the studio or competitions with my kids! Ask me about my favorite venues across the state.
“As a clinician, I've seen my clients and their families' need for improved access to services. Joining Charlie Health allows me to take one step further in the journey of equity in mental health access - connecting those in need to high-quality care without long waits or huge expenses.”
You can find me teaching or taking barre class in my free time. Come join me for a little full body wellness!
“Mental health has always been present in my life. My father struggled with drug addiction and a severe accident that negatively impacted his mental health; my mother had multiple co-occurring mental health disorders, and I’ve had my own experiences with mental health, too. Now, I am passionate about helping others find care. I know first-hand what it feels like to see those you love struggle with mental health, what it feels like to lose them, and how heavy the weight of your own mental health can be. I often felt alone in my experiences, and I want to be a part of a community that doesn't just tell others they're not alone, but shows them.”
It's no surprise that most of my frequently played songs are from Broadway musicals. I love to watch a show any chance I get and am always happy to have someone tag along! So if you're in NYC and want to see a show, I'm available!
“As a teen, I struggled with treatment-resistant depression, panic attacks, and trauma. Throughout my healing journey, I devoted myself to advocating for and supporting youth and young adults who are also struggling. I know how you feel. I hear you, and I see you. I am here to help.”
My favorite NYC activities are picnicking in Astoria Park and going to a late-night comedy show!
“Spreading awareness on mental health in a way that allows us to reach more individuals through a virtual program is so important. It is very hard to trust people while struggling due to embarrassment or fear of what they might say. In high school, I struggled to love myself and my body. Joining the swim team only added an extra layer of pressure for me that, as a high schooler, I was unequipped to navigate. Knowing I might be able to impact young people's lives is what makes me most excited for this position here at CH. ”
My son Carson and I aimed to bike at least 20 miles a week together. We're excited to see if we stick to this and how many miles we ride by the end of his summer vacation. We're using the Map My Ride app to track our progress.
“I want all families to have access to wrap-around support that brings in each family member to show them that they play a role in creating a healthy and safe environment for mental wellness. ”
I facilitated prevention education to 30 + elementary schools in the Capital Region (NY) providing messaging to kids that their body is THEIRS and teaching them how to seek out safe adults.
“I have struggled with mental health issues that have completely changed the trajectory of my life. I didn't know where to turn to when this happened and continue learning new ways to cope daily. I want to help the people in my community and be a resource to return to feeling like themselves. ”
I absolutely love burritos. The best place to find one near me is Mexican Grill 2000.
