Meet our team
“As a kid who could have been in our program, I love being able to offer our program to kids who are just like me at their age. I love bringing hope to parents who have no hope because of our program.”
Fun Fact
I absolutely love a good Cajun dish, does not matter what kind. You need to find the best place to eat in Southeast Texas, you can ask me.
“I worked at a local children's hospital for 10 years as an inpatient family therapist and was directly referred to Charlie Health. I was amazed that the teens I referred didn't end up readmitting despite our treatment team waiting for them to return to inpatient. Their success was a direct product of Charlie Health's access to quality and compassionate care. Families were no longer dealing with multiple barriers to care, such as distance, insurance, school, work, siblings, and many others. I'm proud to be a part of an organization dedicated to 24/7, totally comprehensive care for young people who need it most.”
Fun Fact
My family and I love to go to the Clearfork Farmer’s Market on Saturday mornings and then walk along the Trinity Trail after.
“As a nurse for 10 years in the community, I unfortunately saw a huge barrier to accessible mental health resources. I knew I wanted to be a larger part of making a change in my community for access to equitable mental healthcare. Charlie Healths foundation of connection, congruence, and commitment truly align with my goal to make a greater impact in others lives.”
Fun Fact
I love a hot pilates class after a long day. You can usually catch me jumping around local studios trying out new classes and styles!
“The day my sister called me in tears, asking for help, will always stay with me. It was the first time I witnessed my best friend having a panic attack, and it made me realize that I would do anything to support her. Asking for help takes immense courage and strength, and it's crucial to remind those who may be hesitant to know that they are not alone. We are working together to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health. Everyone deserves access to the help they need, and Charlie Health is making that a reality.”
Fun Fact
I really enjoy spending time at Memorial Park in Houston! There are so many amazing parks in this city, and I love getting outside and soaking up some Vitamin D. If you're interested, I'd be happy to connect and share some of the great parks near me!
“As a healthcare professional, I was immediately drawn to Charlie Health due to their commitment to end the youth mental health crisis. I started my career as a physical therapist and specialized in working with individuals with chronic spinal cord injuries. This exposed me to the struggles faced by teens and young adults with chronic illnesses. My patients often underwent a significant loss of independence, with an inability to walk, dress, or feed themselves without assistance. Despite the overwhelming need for mental health support, the medical team's focus remained primarily on physical health. Shockingly, resources for addressing issues like depression, anxiety, PTSD, and even suicidal ideation were severely limited. Charlie Health is a beacon of hope, providing accessible solutions for our youth in desperate need of help. The team's obsession with forging connections and facilitating peer support creates a powerful impact, reminding individuals that they are not alone in their struggles. I find great fulfillment in working for Charlie Health, as each team member shares a deep dedication and passion for empowering and supporting our young people.”

“I work at Charlie Health because I self harmed from the ages of 13-17 & needed a program like Charlie Health In my adolescence. I am here to help kids get the care I never had access to. I had to wait until I was 24 to go to therapy, and I am committed to getting kids care they need, when they need it.”
Fun Fact
I volunteer with Hire Heroes in my spare time to help veterans get back on their feet in new careers and transitioning to civilian life. My partner is a soldier, and I am passionate about increasing quality of life, for those who have served our country and their families.
“As a teenager, Charlie Health is the type of program that I needed after my family experienced a divorce. Since then, I’ve learned that my purpose in life is to be a "hope dealer" and working at Charlie Health aligns with that. In the past, I've worked with youth & young adults in many different capacities, and I know this program could help change/save some of their lives. I'm excited to share Charlie Health in my community because I want families to have the opportunity to heal so they can all reach their full potential in life.”
Fun Fact
I played college basketball at Southern Methodist University. Now, thanks to Charlie Health and my new balanced schedule, I will volunteer to coach high school girls basketball at my alma mater with my 2 oldest friends.
“West Texas has been my family's home for almost 100 years, and I love this community more than anything. While WTX is full of amazing people, opportunities, and promise for many things, it dramatically lacks access to mental health resources, especially for those living in smaller surrounding communities. I have personally experienced the heartbreak of a community following a life lost too soon and firmly believe it could have been prevented with readily accessible mental healthcare resources. I aim to connect West Texans to the care they deserve- it is far past due!”
Fun Fact
On weekends, you can find me doing my favorite things- watching Texas Tech sports, volunteering as a cheerleading coach with the Permian Basin Youth Football League, and searching for the perfect chile relleno. (La Bodega is currently in first place!)
